Unable to connect to the MKS

I was trying to connect to the console of a virtual machine but was thrown with the following error.

Unable to connect to the MKS:  Host address lookup for server esxi02.vmdomain.org failed: No such host is known

The error message simple translates to “I do not know what is the IP address of the host, thus cannot find it.”.  It is a name resolution problem since the machine I am using to connect to the console is not using the DNS server which has the host record of the ESXi host.

Since I cannot change the DNS server, my best option is to add the IP to host mapping in the hosts file of my machine.
