My colleague from India called me to help him to troubleshoot a server which he has problem joining our AD domain.
When he tried to join the server to the AD domain, he received the following error message.
After some troubleshooting and making sure DNS settings are correctly set, we found out that the Domain Controller in his Active Directory Site is having issue. Running DCDiag shows some failed tests. We were getting RPC error when trying to connect to the Domain Controller using Active Directory Users and Computers console.
He rebooted the DC and it solved the issue. He was able to join the server to the AD domain successfully.
