Terminal Services Printer Redirection Refused To Work

One of our oversea users is having problem with Printer Redirection when logged on to our Terminal Server. For those who have no idea what is Printer Redirection, below is the brief description from Microsoft. You can read more about it from here.


Terminal Services provides printer redirection, which routes printing jobs from a terminal server to a printer attached to a client computer or to a network printer that is available to the client computer.


When the user logged on to the Terminal Server, no printer was created for his session despite matching printer driver was installed on both the server and client. After some research, I found this. They are using a multifunction print device which uses DOT4 port. Anway, after adding the registry entry, it works.
